Another stretch goal unlocked!
3 months ago – Fri, Mar 06, 2026 at 01:04:29 PM

Hi everyone!

What a great opening week it has been – thank you so much! We unlocked another stretch goal overnight, so now all physical pledges will include a set of stickers and a die-cut bookmark for FREE!

Next up, we’ll unlock a set of art print postcards. These are just a few images from the BOREDOM artbook, so you can expect even more surreality in that exclusive addon. 🙂

We continue to spread the word with press and websites, most recently landing a nice preview piece at Anime Corner. Check out some great unseen pages here:

We admittedly don’t normally cross-promote other campaigns, but our friends at Monstrous have a campaign going right now for WEIRD TALES, and it is chock full of pulpy goodness!

Whether you’re a fan of the original magazine or are interested in the new graphic novel adaptations of some of those iconic stories by acclaimed authors, this campaign is definitely worth checking out.

  • Michael Avallone’s “The Man Who Walked on Air” — adapted by Chilling Adventures of Sabrinaartist Robert Hack and David Avallone, the acclaimed writer and son of Michael Avallone.
  • Ray Bradbury’s “The Scythe” — adapted by artist J.K. Woodward and acclaimed novelist and creator of the Joe Ledger series Jonathan Maberry.
  • Allison V. Harding’s “The Damp Man” — adapted by acclaimed artist Marco Finnegan (Calavera, PI) and award-winning novelist Nancy A. Collins, who was the first woman to write Swamp Thing and also the first woman to write Vampirella
  • Robert E. Howard’s “Skulls in the Stars” — adapted by 30 Days of Night co-creator Steve Niles
  • An original Lovecraft Mythos Story by Peabody Award-winning screenwriter and producer Rodney Barnes (Killadelphia) with art by Lukas Ketner (Count Crowley)
  • C.L. Moore’s “Shambleau” — adapted by artist George Quadros (Sumerian) and Blake Northcott (Catwoman)
  • Anthony M. Rud’s “Ooze” — the first story published by Weird Tales, in 1923 — reimagined by Weird Tales president, director, and producer John Harlacher (Urchin, Ninja Escape, Nightmare NYC), with art by Zac Atkinson.

Thanks, everyone! We’ll be back soon with another update! Keep spreading the word!

What a great start! Thank you!

Hi everyone!

We're off to a great start -- THANK YOU! Less than two days in and we've already unlocked TWO STRETCH GOALS!

The full-color hardcover book sleeves will now feature glossy SpotUV elements in the design, and now, all physical tiers will include a set of FIVE VINYL STICKERS for free!

Next up will be a cool, 6" diecut bookmark. Hopefully, folks continue to discover this campaign so we can unlock even more cool freebies with every physical tier! We've tried to get the word out as wide as we can -- maybe you caught one of these pieces (click on any banner to visit the article):

The article above includes a brief QA conversation between Jonathan and Magnetic Press's publisher.

We're doing as much outreach as we can because these books are AWESOME and need to be seen and appreciated by as many scifi, animation, and graphic novel fans as possible. 🙂 We're really excited and proud to introduce Jonathan's illustrated visions to compliment the animated vision he's brought to so many cool projects. We can't stop watching the recently released "The Mountain, the Moon Cave, and The Sad God" from Gorillaz... Even the directors had to shout out Jonathan's sequence in a recent interview:

"One of Tim and Max’s favourite sequences in the film is one that they had no hand in. Artist Jonathan Nkondo was approached to bring one of the film’s more out-there sequences to life. They weren’t sure he’d say ‘yes’, and warned Jamie that he’d have to step back and let Jon do his thing if they wanted to convince him to come onboard. And he did. The result is truly transcendent.

“His section really stands out and he is really impressive, really amazing, it feels very of the era… that was quite a unique aspect and just a beautiful addition to the film,” says Max.

As much as we're spreading the word as wide as we can, we need your help to spread it even further! Tell all of your like-minded friends, coworkers, and family about this campaign! It's a bit shorter than many of our other campaigns, but we have a lot planned for the next two weeks.  Bring everyone you know to the party, and we'll make this an event worth celebrating!

Thanks, everyone!
