Locking addresses this weekend

Hi everyone!

Just a quick update to confirm that we are locking orders this weekend. You should receive an email from Backerkit in the next 48 hours with a notification to finalize your address before Sunday afternoon, at which point your survey will be locked so we can begin to organize data for fulfillment.

If you aren't sure what address you used (or if you've even completed your survey), you can log in at https://peaceful-remission.backerkit.com/with your Kickstarter-associated email address to access the Pledge Manager. (If you use a privaterelay.apple.id email address on Kickstarter and haven't given us an alternate address yet, please let us know so we can get your survey to you asap! We won't know where to send your stuff if you can't fill out your Pledge Manager!)

If your address is current, you don't need to do anything. If you need to update your address, however, and don't receive that email from Backerkit this weekend (check your spam folders), please reach out to us either as a message here through Kickstarter or by email at [email protected]. 

We hope to begin fulfillment with Quartermaster Logistics soon with the aim of shipping everything in October!

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update to let you all know that, now that Backerkit orders have been locked, we are processing charges this weekend. Those should be done by Monday, at which point we will distribute the digital rewards. :) As of today, we expect to send those files out on THURSDAY, July 2nd, just ahead of the holiday weekend! Something to look forward to -- like a present for America's 250th birthday (sorta)!

On a related note, we're also going to be launching a new campaign next week that ties into the holiday directly -- 

LIBERTY — The Arms Smugglers Who Helped Win the Revolution

An ambitious graphic novel project, this true story was meticulously researched by JORDAN MECHNER, the creator of the legendary Prince of Persia video game series. Told in a deluxe 200+ page full-color hardcover graphic novel, this epic tale reveals the details behind the unlikely friendship that pulled off America's first black op to secure our nation's independence from the British.

We hope you'll join us for this fascinating historical adventure when we launch this week! 

Locking the Pledge Manager orders this weekend

Hi everyone!

Hope you're having a fine Juneteenth Friday and gearing up for a nice weekend. We wanted to let you know that we are locking the Pledge Manager orders this weekend! You should receive an email from Backerkit in the next 48 hours asking you to confirm or finalize your order before Sunday afternoon, at which point your survey will automatically lock so we can begin final production and fulfillment preparation. We'll process any balance charges due on Monday.

If you think you may need to change your delivery address before shipping begins (on track to begin in September), let us know. You can make changes to your shipping address in Backerkit up until we lock addresses there ahead of shipping. We estimate the address lock in Backerkit to happen in mid-August, but we can help you make changes right up until your packages physically ship. 🙂

Now that orders have been locked, we will start preparing the digital items for distribution. We hope to have those ready in the first or second week of July. Watch this space for more info as that lands!

Final printed advance copies!

Hi everyone!

While we shared some photographs of the "dummy" books and slipcase last month, we received advance copies of the finished books recently, and they look just as nice!

Here is an "unboxing video" and a bunch of pics:

The books are now on a (literal) slow boat from China, and we hope to have them in August for fulfillment in September. We'll keep you updated as things get closer!

In the meantime, our current Kickstarter for Joel Dos Reis Viegas' URBANCEgraphic novel series, based on his stylish animated short film of the same name, is wrapping up on Friday!

We've put together some really cool limited editions of this really cool future-punk story. If you haven't checked it out, please do!

Hi, Everyone!

I know it has only been a few days since our last update, but there are a couple of other worthy campaigns going on now that we think you may also fall in love with!

If you love Mathieu Bablet’s work, or haven't yet made such a wonderful discovery, you won’t want to miss the third installment of his science fiction dystopian trilogy, SILENT JENNY, a breathtaking journey through a desert world struggling to deal with ecological disaster. It is a standalone story, as were the first two entries in the trilogy, SHANGRI-LA and CARBON & SILICON, sharing only the theme of exploring a far-flung future. If you missed either of those earlier titles and are curious about them, this campaign features new editions of all three!

Speaking of incredible comics, Anime Corner announced that Magnetic Press will soon be launching a Kickstarter for Joël Dos Reis Viegas’s URBANCE- a beautiful, four-volume expansion of the acclaimed art director’s viral animated short film. As a fan of sci-fi and cutting-edge animation, we think you'll really like it. This bio-punk, genre-blending series is a must-read! Mathieu Bablet isn’t the only creator wrapping up a graphic novel series on Kickstarter. Our friend and award-winning animator Stephan Franck at Dark Planet Comics is running a Kickstarter campaign for his original series PALOMINO Volume 6.  Stephan has been a key creator on massive hits like Marvel's "What If?" and "The Iron Giant", and his immense talent is on full showcase with his original series. The epic, neo-noir saga follows a private eye and his daughter as they investigate a decade-spanning mystery that takes them on a tour of LA’s Honky Tonk clubs.  Written and drawn by Franck, the sixth and final volume answers all their questions and turns their world upside down.
